Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
1 kg chicken (cut into pieces)
3 tbsp olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp yogurt (optional for tenderness)
For Grilling:
Lump charcoal (for best smoky flavor)
Oil (for grill grates)
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken: Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Coat chicken evenly and marinate for at least 4 hours (overnight for best results).
Prepare the Grill: Light charcoal and let it burn until white-hot (about 15-20 minutes). Spread evenly.
Grill the Chicken: Oil the grill grates and place chicken over medium heat. Flip every 5-7 minutes.
Lock in the Smoky Flavor: Use indirect grilling by moving the chicken to a cooler part of the grill. Cover with a lid for better smoke circulation.
Check for Doneness: Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with grilled veggies or pita bread.
